Just have to share a recipe that my daughter and I made for the Fall Days (in case you didn't make it to see them) This would be a great project for you and the kids to make.
 
ACORN DOUGH NUTS
Chocolate Frosting or Peanut Butter
Donut holes
Crumbled toffee
Pretzel Sticks
 
Frost a third or so of a plain or glazed doughnut hole with chocolate frosting or peanut butter.
Roll the frosted top in crumbled toffee (in baking section) then add a small piece of a pretzel for the stem.
